Lines & Company

Andrew’s career in tax commenced in the early 1980’s when he worked for HM Revenue & Customs. He was gamekeeper turned poacher leaving HMRC in the late 1980’s and embarking on his career in the accountancy profession.

Andrew passed is CIOT exams (at first attempt) in 1991 and worked as partner in three mid-tier accountancy firms and ran his own firm in the mid-2000’s. Latterly he was a Tax Partner in BDO LLP where he had responsibility for the private client tax team in Southampton and at various times had regional and national responsibilities for BDO.

He left BDO in June 2017 to form Lines & Company with his wife, Lisa Justice.

Outside of his professional life, Andrew is a keen fisherman, mainly fly fishing but will attempt fishing anywhere where there is water! He can often be seen cycling on his mountain bike over Holt Heath or walking with Lisa and their dog, Charlie.

Lisa’s career in tax commenced in 2004 when she joined a southern regional firm. Originally from Oxford she was a mature student chartered accountant having previously worked in market research and dealing with data analysis and reporting. Following a six month break in India, Lisa decided to have a change of career into tax and accountancy.

She qualified as a Chartered Accountant and then later as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2009.

Having worked for a regional firm for a number of years she joined BDO in 2010. She left BDO in June 2017 to form Lines & Company Ltd with Andrew.

Outside of her professional life, Lisa is a keen runner and she has done the London Marathon, the 33 mile Marlborough Challenge several times and also the 20 mile Grizzly run in East Devon. She enjoys walking with Andrew and their dog, Charlie.
